Do you accept new patients?

Yes! We warmly welcome new clients and their pets. We recommend downloading our New Client Form from our New Clients page ahead of your first appointment and bringing any prior veterinary records to help us provide the best care from the start.

Do I need an appointment, or do you accept walk-ins?

We work by appointment to ensure each patient receives dedicated, unhurried attention. If your pet has an urgent need, please call us at 832-632-1595 and we will do our best to fit you in as quickly as possible.

What types of animals do you treat?

We primarily treat dogs and cats at all life stages, from puppies and kittens to senior pets. If you have a question about whether we can help with a specific type of pet, please give us a call.

What veterinary services do you offer?

We offer a comprehensive range of services including vaccinations, preventative healthcare, senior wellness, diagnostics, veterinary dentistry, soft tissue surgery, cold laser therapy, glaucoma screenings, nutritional counseling, behavioral counseling, and hospitalization. Visit our Services page for a full overview.

How often should my pet have a wellness exam?

Adult dogs and cats should have a wellness exam at least once per year. Puppies and kittens need more frequent visits during their first year to complete their vaccine series and monitor development. Senior pets benefit from semi-annual exams, as age-related conditions can develop quickly and are best caught early.

What vaccinations does my pet need?

Core vaccines for dogs typically include rabies and DA2PP (distemper, parvovirus, adenovirus). Core vaccines for cats include rabies and FVRCP. Lifestyle vaccines — such as Leptospirosis, Bordetella, or Feline Leukemia — may be recommended based on your pet’s individual risk factors. Our veterinarians will discuss a personalized vaccine plan at your pet’s exam.

Does my pet need heartworm prevention year-round in League City?

Yes. Southeast Texas has a warm, humid climate that supports mosquito activity — and therefore heartworm transmission — for most or all of the year. We strongly recommend year-round heartworm prevention for all dogs and cats in our area, along with annual heartworm testing.

Do you offer dental cleanings for pets?

Yes. Professional dental cleanings under anesthesia are an important part of your pet’s health care. Dental disease affects the majority of dogs and cats by age three and, if untreated, can contribute to heart, liver, and kidney disease. We also offer SANOS dental sealant application during cleanings to help slow the return of plaque. Learn more on our Dentistry page.

What diagnostic tools do you have in-house?

Our in-house diagnostic capabilities include a full laboratory (CBC, chemistry panels, urinalysis, heartworm and tick-borne disease testing), digital radiology, and abdominal ultrasound. We also have access to same-day radiologist consultations for complex imaging cases. In-house testing allows us to get results quickly and begin treatment the same day in most cases.

Do you offer cold laser therapy for pets?

Yes. Cold Laser Therapy (K-Laser) is available at our practice for pain management, wound healing, and post-surgical recovery. It is a non-invasive, drug-free treatment that many pets find comfortable and relaxing. It’s especially helpful for pets with arthritis, chronic pain, or those recovering from surgery. Learn more on our Cold Laser Therapy page.

What should I bring to my pet’s first appointment?

Please bring your completed New Client Form (downloadable from our New Clients page), your pet’s prior veterinary records and vaccination history, a list of any current medications, and a fresh fecal sample for parasite screening if possible.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept cash, personal checks, and all major credit and debit cards including Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express. We also accept CareCredit and Cherry financing to help make veterinary care more affordable. Visit our Payment Options page to learn more.

Do you offer financing for veterinary care?

Yes. We offer two financing options: CareCredit, a healthcare credit card with flexible payment plans including interest-free options, and Cherry, a buy-now, pay-later option with quick approvals. Both allow you to spread the cost of your pet’s care over time. Ask our front desk team for details at your next appointment.

What should I do if my pet has an emergency outside of your business hours?

We offer same-day urgent appointments during our regular business hours whenever possible. For after-hours emergencies, we recommend contacting a local emergency animal clinic. Please call us at 832-632-1595 and we can direct you to the appropriate after-hours resource in the League City area.

How do I request a prescription refill?

You can request prescription refills through our Request Refills page. Please allow adequate time for processing and note that refills may require an up-to-date exam on file. Call us at 832-632-1595 if you have an urgent need.

Do you offer nutritional counseling for pets?

Yes. We provide personalized nutritional counseling for pets at every life stage — from puppies and kittens to seniors managing specific health conditions. We also carry Royal Canin Veterinary-Exclusive therapeutic diets for pets with medical dietary needs. Learn more on our Nutritional Counseling page.

What should I do if I notice a sudden change in my pet’s behavior?

A sudden behavioral change should always prompt a veterinary examination, as it can signal an underlying medical issue such as pain, thyroid dysfunction, or neurological problems. We also offer behavioral counseling to help with ongoing issues like anxiety, aggression, and destructive habits. Learn more on our Behavioral Counseling page.
